第二期第四章 三五与菲纳芬家族的爱恨情仇
形象剧变的不仅是凯勒巩、库茹芬以及费拉贡德。欧洛德瑞斯，这位被戏称为“欧透明”，甚至在宝钻出版后形象依然在安格罗德之兄与安格罗德之子间来回转变的人物，在早期的故事中有截然不同的模样。
如第一章所述，他最早出现在《失落的传说》中，并非诺多王子仅是Rodothlim的领主。他因Flinding（葛温多）的关系接纳了图小强，又听取了图小强的意见放弃隐匿政策。最终，米尔寇探明了Rodothlim的所在，派出Glorund（格劳龙）、妖狼和奥克组成的大军袭击Rodothlim。Rodothlim覆灭，图小强与Flinding救出重伤的欧洛德瑞斯，欧洛德瑞斯责备图林及他为Rodothlim带来的一切后不治身亡。这里的芬朵拉丝亦非欧洛德瑞斯之女，她的父亲叫Galweg，是欧洛德瑞斯的子民。

Notes：Orodreth dies (afterbeing carried back to the caves) reproaching Turin for what he has brought topass – as does Gwindor dying in The Silmarillion (p. 213), with the added bitternessof his relation with Finduilas.

此外，在《胡林子女之歌》中，他还以一种“怀有敌意、令人敬畏”的形象登场。

In the poem, on the other hand, Orodrethemerges as hostile and formidable, and his character is carefully outlined: heis quick to anger (1973) but his wrath is cold and long-enduring (2133 -- 4),he is seldom moved to pity (1969, 2134), grim-hearted and deep-counselled (2132-- 3), but capable of deep love (1970) as also of fierce hate (2135). Afterwards,as the legends developed, Orodreth underwent a steady decline into weakness andinsignificance, which is very curious. Many years later, when meditating thedevelopment of the Turin saga, my father noted that Orodreth was 'rather a weakcharacter'; cf. the Narn, p. 160: 'he turned as he ever did to Turin forcounsel'. Ultimately he was to be displaced as the second King of Nargothrond(Unfinished Tales p. 255, note 20). But all this is a far cry from the hard andgrim king in his underground hall depicted in the poem; Felagund had not yetemerged, nor the rebellious power of Celegorm and Curufin in Nargothrond (seefurther p. 246).

葛温多（Flinding）与图林来到纳国斯隆德，欧透明大王登场（a king with crown and carven throne.）：
A voice they heard neath the vault rolling,

but Flinding go-Fuilin fiercely answered.

（小天使芬朵拉丝及时出现，劝住了欧透明，证明这就是葛温多啊！他和胡林之子都是勇敢忠诚的人！papa莫要胡乱怀疑！欧透明听着听着慢慢平静下来，平息了对图林与葛温多的愤怒，也不再抱有对背叛的怀疑或恐惧。）

牙口：“What plea dost show that a Man, a mortal, on our mansions hidden shouldlook and live, our league sharing?' 这句式总觉得有些眼熟。
欧罗米：“凡人活著涉足不死之地，岂还容他活著不死?”
牙口：就是这句。
摊牌：我听说是“必死的凡人活着踏上不死之地，还能存活否？”
阿拉贡：坦白说，我家族流传的版本是：“一个凡夫俗子踏上我们的圣地之后，难道还能让他再活在世上吗？”我一度以为这是魔苟斯蒙蔽维拉的言词。
欧罗米：哈哈哈哈哈我去告诉纳牟！
欧洛德瑞斯：你们考虑下我的感受好吗？
牙口：我亲爱的弟弟，你最好不要往下看。
欧透明：为什么？
牙口：因为……
凯三：因为你的女儿不是你的女儿了，你多了个叫Halmir的儿子但是他被奥克杀了。
欧透明：WTF！
牙口：芬朵拉丝很快回归。
库五：但Halmir消失了。你消失的崽还不止一个呢。
The killing of Orodreth's son Halmir the hunterby Orcs (2137 -- 8; omitted in the C-text, p. 82) is a new element, which willreappear, though not found in The Silmarillion, where the name Halmir is borne bya ruler of the People of Haleth.
欧洛德瑞斯之子，猎手哈尔米尔被兽人所杀是故事的新元素。《精灵宝钻》中，这个情节消失了，名唤哈尔米尔者是人类——哈烈丝一族的领袖。
Ordred (i.e. Orodreth) has two sons, Ordhelm and Ordlaf; his daughter isFripuswip Fealuleome (i.e. FinduilasFailivrin; fealuleome perhaps 'golden light').

下一个阶段，欧洛德瑞斯变成了菲纳芬家族的子嗣，并将成为纳国斯隆德的第二位君主。
起初，如第一章所述，在《最早的贝烈瑞安德编年史》等文本中，他与安格罗德、安格诺尔与费诺之子存在不寻常的深厚友谊，尤其是与凯勒巩和库茹芬。兄弟三人与费诺之子一同离开维林诺，登陆中土。

In the end it was put to the vote of theassembly, and moved by the potentwords of Feanor the Gnomes decided to depart. But the Gnomes of Tun would not renounce the kingship of Fingolfin, and as two divided. hoststherefore they set forth: one under Fingolfin who with his sons yielded to the general voice against their wisdom, because they would not desert their people; the otherunder Feanor. 塞洛斯：人类没有一个好东西，呵，图林；呵，贝伦！
图林：好像听到谁叫我？
塞洛斯：……
呆龙：没有！你听错了！

凯三：话说我们为什么去纳国而不去找大哥？
库五：大概顺路。
牙口：理论上，大概是因为我弟弟。但是……
欧透明：但他们还是背叛了我们。是我错了，我不该引狼入室！绝交！早就该绝交了！
（西瑞安岛发生的事传回了纳国斯隆德和多瑞亚斯，三五的恶行大白于天下）
据说，凯勒巩与库茹芬派了一个秘使去见辛葛，说露西恩之前便已逃走。但是愤怒中的辛葛派出自己的仆从，将他们的信送到了欧洛德瑞斯手中。现在，纳格洛子民之心重新倾向于菲纳芬家族。他们哀悼被他们抛弃的费拉贡德王，转而听从欧洛德瑞斯的命令。但欧洛德瑞斯并没有依从这些人的意见杀死费艾诺的两个儿子。相反，他把凯勒巩和库茹芬逐出了纳国斯隆德，并发誓，纳格洛王国（指纳国斯隆德）与费艾诺众子从此再无情谊。事情就这样了结了。

But he would not suffer them to slay the sons of Feanor as they wished. Instead he banished them from Nargothrond, and swore that little love should there bebetween Narog and any of the sons of Feanor thereafter. And so it was.

凯勒巩轻蔑而立，毫不屈服，
眼中犹带傲慢怒火与恫吓。
但在他身边，站着默然微笑、眼色诡诈的库茹芬，

Cold words Orodreth answered slow:

of you he seeks for naught. His will
ye come to hear, and to fulfil.

shall fall into the sea! Your way
shall never lead you hither more,
nor any son of Feanor;
of love no more shall there be bond
between your house and Nargothrond! '
欧洛德瑞斯的回答缓慢而冰冷：

呆龙：以我诗人的眼光，我认为这段所体现的深层情感值得细细品味。纵然对公主图谋不轨的凯勒巩与库茹芬是如此卑劣！
抹布龙&贝贝：卑劣！
呆龙：但一段真挚友谊的破碎，仍是令人无限感慨的悲剧。
抹布龙&贝贝：悲剧！
呆龙：对王权的渴望击溃了曾经的爱，四人间错综复杂的关系在欧洛德瑞斯与凯勒巩库茹芬最后一次当面交锋间展现得淋漓尽致。
抹布龙&贝贝：淋漓尽致！
摊牌：我常因脑洞不够大而感到和你们辛达格格不入。
盖奶：必须承认……虽然我在多瑞亚斯住过多年，和美丽安交好，又嫁给了凯勒鹏。但辛达的画风确实和我们诺多不一样，很不一样。
抹布龙：想当年，芬罗德和凯勒巩也有过一段蜜月期。或许这就是为何凯勒巩会投奔纳国斯隆德吧，不仅仅是因为欧洛德瑞斯。
On a time he was the guest of Celegorm inthe East, and rode a-hunting with him.

抹布龙：你发现人类之前的事，下一句说你和其他人走散了，走到蓝色山脉西麓的山谷才发现人类。But he became separated from the others, and at a time of night hecame upon a dale in the western foothills of the Blue Mountains.
欧透明：也许这里的凯勒巩又是辛葛王的替身！（Home4：An extraordinary feature of the A-version is the name Celegorm given to the King of the woodland Elves (Thingol)）
抹布龙：没有啊，这里是凯勒巩本巩。
牙口：也许是正常的拜访，毕竟是亲族，没出事前关系还行。
摊牌：但是，我Atar去哪了？
牙口：一定是他看我不爽故而只有凯勒巩出来招待。
库五：呵，没错，我从来就没有哪个设定看你爽过。毕竟我是兄弟中最邪恶的一个，从开始到最后。“库茹芬令凯勒巩心存邪念”嘛，是我挑拨离间，他才和你作对的，ok？
凯三：Curvo的挑唆？不，我对王权与宝钻的渴望早已存在，亦是更具权威的兄长。——我是真心实意要弄死芬罗德。
摊牌：求求你们做个精吧，堂叔对我们那么好！
欧透明：因此，你们早就不怀好意？甚于贝伦来到之前？
凯三：那谁知道呢。
欧透明：你！
抹布龙：贵圈真乱。
贝贝：欧洛德瑞斯真的很受伤。
呆龙：毕竟他和三五爱过嘛。
抹布龙：这我们都知道了啊。
呆龙：可能爱得比你想象的更深哦。
《最早的维林诺编年史》：
（北方预言后）费拉贡德和菲纳芬的其他儿子仍然决定前行，因为费拉贡德与芬国昐的儿子们、欧洛德瑞斯与费艾诺之子凯勒巩和库茹芬之间都存在深厚的友谊。

*Notes：Added here in ink: withall his folk and no others save Orodreth, Angrod, and Egnor, whom Celegorm andCurufin loved.
The friendship of Celegorm. and Curufinwith Orodreth, Angrod, and Egnor just referred to leads to the remarkable development (in the addi tion given in note 21) that these three sons of Finrod were actually allowedpassage in the ships by the Feanorians, and that onlyFelagund came over the Helkarakse with Fingolfin. This story if adhered to would presumably have affectedthe further evolution of the history of the Noldor in Beleriand.

《最早的贝烈瑞安德编年史》：
（1）出奔： 第一家族的诺姆，即“被褫夺者”，在费艾诺和他七个儿子的带领下，来到了北方。同行的还有他们的朋友：芬罗德之子欧洛德瑞斯、安格罗德和埃格诺尔。（总是在基友和哥哥里义无反顾选基友）

（5）2年后：魔苟斯占领了托尔西瑞安，突破防御进入了西贝烈瑞安德。他派遣了巫师夙巫驻守托尔西瑞安，使得那儿成了一片邪恶之地。费拉贡德、欧洛德瑞斯和凯勒巩、库茹芬一起，撤退至纳国斯隆德。他们依照辛葛在多瑞亚斯的千石窟，在那儿建起了一座恢宏的隐匿王宫。（四个小伙伴手拉手建家了。）
（6）惨淡结局：纳国斯隆德的王费拉贡德死在了妖狼之主索伦的地牢里。欧洛德瑞斯统治了纳国斯隆德，他与凯勒巩和库茹芬决裂。随后，两人被逐出了城。

事实上，欧洛德瑞斯因兄长芬罗德的遭遇拒绝加入梅斯罗斯联盟的构思最早出现于《蕾希安之歌》“摘要I”。
后期的作品中，“费诺之子与菲纳芬之子”曾是好友的设定也被摒弃。于是，三五在骤火之战后的动向，先后经历了“俩兄弟投奔好基友”、“三个小伙伴勾肩搭背投奔好牙口”、“四个小伙伴一起败退搬入新家”等版本，最后变成了单纯的同族援助。
《晚期的贝烈瑞安德编年史》：
Celegorm and Curufin were defeated, andfled unto Orodreth in the west of Taur-na-Danion > Celegorn and Curufin were defeated, andfled south and west, and took harbour at last with Orodreth in Nargothrond.
凯勒巩和库茹芬战败，逃往西边的陶尔-那-达尼安，欧洛德瑞斯的领地。

这段叙述“凯勒巩与库茹芬向他们的朋友欧洛德瑞斯寻求庇护”，而不是“向费拉贡德寻求庇护”也出现在AB2的修订版中。欧洛德瑞斯先于他们抵达纳国斯隆德，凯勒巩及库茹芬与欧洛德瑞斯的友谊是他们前往纳国斯隆德的动机。这份友谊使欧洛德瑞斯从多索尼安东部地区的领主（“最接近费艾诺众子者”，AB2编年史52初版这样描述）变成了托尔·西瑞安塔的守卫者。

The statement here that Celegorn andCurufin 'sought harbour with their friend Orodreth' - rather than sought harbour with Felagund -is found also in an emendation to AB 2 (note 25); the implication is that Orodrethreached Nargothrond before them, and that their friendship with him was themotive for their going to Nargothrond. This friendship survived the change of Orodreth's lordship from the east of Dorthonion ('nighest to the sonsof Feanor', AB 2 annal 52 as originallywritten) to the wardenship of the tower on Tol Sirion.

考虑到每条故事线的结局都是三五坑死牙口，三五欧决裂，很难说哪个版本更杯具……
而欧洛德瑞斯拒绝参战的设定一直保留到《精灵宝钻》：
然而费艾诺的誓言及其引发的恶事，损害了迈兹洛斯的计划，他得到的援助比应有的少。由于凯勒巩与库茹芬的所作所为，欧洛德瑞斯不肯听从任何费艾诺儿子的话出兵。纳国斯隆德的精灵依旧坚信，当以秘密埋伏或偷袭暗杀的方法来保卫本国的隐匿要塞。因此，自纳国斯隆德只来了一小队人马，由一位非常英勇的贵族、古伊林之子格温多带领，因为他在布拉戈拉赫战役中失去了兄弟盖米尔，十分哀伤，才违背欧洛德瑞斯之意前去参加北方的战事。他们佩戴芬国昐家族的徽号，编列在芬巩的旗下。除了一人，他们全都再未归来。
