The gripping international bestseller about motherhood gone awry.
Eva never really wanted to be a mother - and certainly not the mother of the unlovable boy who murdered seven of his fellow high school students, a cafeteria worker, and a much-adored teacher who tried to befriend him, all two days before his sixteenth birthday. Now, two years later, it is time for her to come to terms with marriage, career, family, parenthood, and Kevin's horrific rampage in a series of startlingly direct correspondences with her estranged husband, Franklin. Uneasy with the sacrifices and social demotion of motherhood from the start, Eva fears that her alarming dislike for her own son may be responsible for driving him so nihilistically off the rails.

A captivating fiction! The readers continue with the answer disclosed. Thrilling sensation arises as we watch the vicious and melancholy journey of young Kevin.
As Kevin later proclaimed to the media, the world can be divided into 2 groups--the watchers and the watchee. Both revolting and fascinating, Kevin is no doubt one of the best watchees.
Indeed, the plot line of the book put aside, one could not help but ponder on the amount of attention society so generously bestows on serial killers and psychopaths. Frankly, i became aware of the phenomenon after 8 seasons of <criminal mind>, thinking to myself: ” Gosh , sickos are just creeping everywhere!”
Yet another point of view in the book that strikes me is how taboos don’t really exist. That is to say, taboos only exist in a fictional way. “ The secret is that there isn’t any.” Behind the veils grown-ups so dutifully and pridefully pull close, it’s just plain fat nothing. The entire shit same as the world you know it. So the line which nobody should ever cross, once crossed, would evaporate instantly. In the book, it was described as the line between shooting a person in the eye and shooting an apple.
Certain lines aren’t meant to be crossed for they cannot be uncrossed. Perhaps.作者: 晴_^ 时间: 2017-2-21 22:40
